We have a wonderful old home in Wilshire Park, an upscale residential and very safe family neighborhood near Hancock Park and Mid Wilshire, which are very desirable areas. We are close to Wilshire Blvd buses that go downtown and as far as Santa Monica, so public transportation access is fast and easy. There is adequate street parking. The available room is large and airy and comfortable and is next to a bathroom. Our home is almost 100 years old but totally updated with washer and dryer, updated kitchen and wi fi throughout. We do not provide meals, but have an updated kitchen and extra refrigerator available to students. Our 25 year old son lives at home and is a Graduate Student and we also host an American college student studying film . We have been hosting students for 10 years and enjoy sharing our home. We also have 1 cat. There is a large backyard with a patio which students can share. We are family oriented and willing to assist students. My husband and I have Masters degrees - mine is in in social planning from the University of Chicago and my husband has an MA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia and our family is well traveled. We are walking distance to restaurants, markets and shopping. We are accessible by bus to UCLA, USC, Santa Monica College and many international language schools on Wilshire Blvd. It is a 30 minute drive to the beach. We prefer students who are looking for a long time stay with us.
