Hello there visiting student,
My name is Maggie.
I am lucky to have hosted a few students from different areas of the world. I own a duplex (a building with an upper apartment and a lower one, which is where I live) and when my tenants left after three years of living upstairs (they bought a house), I thought it might be nice to host people that come with cultural riches of different areas of the world. I don't get to travel as much as I would like to so, I figure I would invite countries to my family and I.
Montreal is a gorgeous city and we have amazing universities which you already know, I'm sure! But what helps is to be able to stay somewhere where you are comfortable while away from your family.
I understand that for a student that is newly arriving, it can sometimes be a comfort to have a home cooked meal, although meals are not included, I’m happy to discuss if you are interested in having them. However, you do have access to a fully equipped kitchen so you can go ahead and make your own if you prefer to cook for yourself.
While staying with us you will find out that I am a creative soul, a fashion lover and a natural caretaker. I work in Marketing and I have a passion for hot yoga. I am a typical soccer mom to my son and a ballet enthusiast to my daughter.
The only rule of my house is respect. Please respect my family, your roommate and their values, the apartment, the neighbors and yourself. Once there is mutual respect, everything is perfect!
