Hi! Our names are Halyna and David, we are Canadian born of Ukrainian heritage and have a cozy home with plenty of space and privacy. We have been hosting students since 2016 and we offer a large private bedroom and private bathroom and full access to main living area and large kitchen. Our home has a beautiful yard (firepit and BBQ) and is ideally located in a quiet bay, walking distance to the University of Calgary, a library, recreation facilities (swimming pool and gym), shopping malls, coffee shops, restaurants and the Brentwood LRT station. It is also a short train or bike ride away from SAIT and downtown. We have bicycles available for our guests should they wish to use them to commute or for leisure. We enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures and have enjoyed hosting guests from a variety of backgrounds and helping them with the language as well as helping them get settled and showing them some of the wonderful sites nearby. We would love to host a student or newcomer and assist them in learning about Canada and our culture. Must love cats as we have two of them! We gladly provided references also.
