The bedroom is on the lower level in a bungalow 3 blocks from the Braddock Road Metro stop (blue/yellow lines) in a quiet neighborhood. The homestay fee ($1,200 per month) includes all utilities, WIFI, a dorm fridge in the bedroom, access to kitchen and 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, and a general cleaning of shared/common areas. (No meals are included.) A security deposit of $1,200 and a 30-day move out notice are required when paying the last month’s rent. The average stay in the house has been two years. At this time, I’m requesting a commitment of at least 4 months.)
There are other professionals and a small friendly cat in the house. It’s a peaceful, quiet home. We are courteous and mindful of others. Though we're not best friends, we occasionally get together for a pizza, movie, or birthday celebration.
I am retired, enjoy traveling, and come back to the house frequently. I have hosted dozens of international students over the years. The topic of my son’s college entrance essay was about growing up with international students. Wishing you a wonderful, memorable stay in the USA.
