WELCOME TO HAPPYHOME HOMESTAY.
Douglas College is less than 10 minutes away.
From our home it is a short walk to the nearest bus stop and the Braid Skytrain Station. With skytrain You will have quick access to Douglas College, The Justice Institute, Alexander College, Coquitlam College, FIC, SFU, Kwantlan, Emily Carr, Vancouver Film School, BCIT, and all ESL schools in New Westminster, Burnaby, Vancouver, Coquitlam.

My husband and I are semi retired and we are very openminded, decent, polite, and very friendly. English is the only language we speak but we respect other people's language, religion, and culture. We have been hosting International students for over 13 years and have enjoyed having them in our home.

We live in a big spacious house on a safe and quiet street. Our bedrooms are deluxe. They are very private, spacious, well furnished, with large windows and queen size beds. Each bedroom sleeps only one person.

I love travelling around the world but my hobby is cooking. I prepare a variety of different Western dishes and other ethnic dishes like Chinese, Japanese, South Asian, and Italian. I serve healthy and filling portions for dinner. Meals are fresh, healthy and balanced.

I can offer a room with no meals for $1000/mth or a room with breakfast and dinner for $1200/mth. Or, I can work out a good fee for you depending on your choice.

Our house rules are very relaxed. Students/Guests are treated as adults. Students/Guests can come and go as they please. Overall we have a happy and comfortable home that is conducive to learning. However, no drugs, no smoking, and no alcohol allowed in the home. You can smoke outside if necessary.

A Skytrain to downtown arrives at Braid Station every five minutes. One train from Braid Station gets you to Vancouver in about 20 minutes. The train ride to Vancouver is quick and quiet. The scenery along the way is beautiful.

Metro Town mall, the largest and most popular mall in Canada, is only fifteen minutes away with the Skytrain.
A couple minutes away from our home is convenient shops like 7/11, pizza, sushi bar, Chinese food, Starbucks, supermarkets (e.g. TNT, Walmart), banks, pharmacy. We are walking distance to the lovely Hume Park where you can exercise, walk, or enjoy fresh air.

I absolutely love hosting International guests in my home. It's a joy to share experiences, cultures and laughter with people from all over.
