We are gay couple (I am an ESL teacher and he works for one of the big four accounting firms), and we have three spacious and very bright furnished bedrooms that we rent out to boarders. All rooms are thoroughly cleaned once a week and laundry, including bedding, is done on weekends. The main floor (living area, dining room and kitchen) are common areas, and these are cleaned daily.

All three rental rooms are on the second floor. The first of these is a furnished deluxe suite with its own bathroom (shower, toilet & sink), private deck and huge mirrored wardrobe.It has a queen-sized bed, a dresser, end table and a study desk with chair. The room could easily accommodate a couple, and it's $800 a month or $200 a week; if you want your meals as well, it will be $1000 a month or $250 a week

The other two bedrooms are smaller and side-by-side. Each comes with a closet, a desk and a large dresser. You would share the four-piece bathroom (shower, tub, sink & toilet) with another international student. As well, there is a toilet on the main floor "in case of emergency". :) These two rooms are $600 a month or $150 a week; With meals, it will be $800 a month or $200 a week.

The nearest York Region bus stop is a two-minute walk away and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to Finch subway station. It is a 12-minute walk to Steeles Avenue to catch a TTC bus. I bike to Finch subway station some mornings and it takes me 15 minutes to get there. Other mornings, my partner drops me (and anyone else who needs a ride) off at Finch station. A weekly GTA pass, which is good for Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, Mississauga and so on, is $61 a week. Thornhill Secondary School is a 10-minute walk away and Brebeuf College School is a 15-minute walk from here.

There is a whiteboard in the dining area, and I am willing to help you with your English. At present, there are five people living here, including my partner and I, and English is the main language of our home. I should also mention that all bedroom doors have locks to ensure privacy and that we have extremely friendly and playful cats, so close your door at night or you will find one sleeping beside you when you awake :)
